I'm going to use this first post to explain my blog. This if for anyone to read who has a son or daughter going off to college soon. I can't even explain all the stuff that is going on in my head right now trying to plan and be organized for this. In a sense I am ready for this step emotionally (so I think),but there is so much else going on - like out of the blue she wants black sheets with a pink quilt. Where does this stuff come from?
Fun fun fun! I can only comment on what it was like on the other end. And I can imagine the 'pressure' to have all the coolest (read: expensive) stuff is even higher now. All we had really were boomboxes. But now it's a laptop, iphone, ipod, digital camera, bluetooth, etc. etc. etc. And of course, the black sheets with a pink quilt! Exciting time but I can imagine pretty stressful to make sure everything's taken care of.
